dESPair SAR I contest The SAR I contest is the currently running SAR contest of the dESPair crew. Download the mission package and fly the mission as requested. We keep a log about the results. To perform this mission, you and your official dESPair aircraft need to reside somewhere in switzerland or close vicinity. From: dESPair headquarters Cmd.: Hak the Seagul IDX : THC-9000 Mission objective: Search missed alpinists Mission description: We have just received an emergency call from the Rega. They are unable to provide a SAR flight at the moment, but a group of alpinists are missing up in the alps. Yesterday morning they started in Münster to climb the Blinnenhorn. Last contact was on their descent via mobile phone. Since then no further contact has happened. We are requested to achieve at least the first two mission goals. If we can do all three goals, we will be heroes (and get a very interesting agreement with the Rega). Mission goals: 1) Record exact location 2) drop a medical emergency package. 3) land and take up the eventually hurt persons. Goal 1 is mandatory, 2 and 3 optional. 1) send back a screenshot from the alpinists, showing the exact lat/lon/alt of your fly-by. 2) fly at max. 60ft AGL when dropping the package and provide a screenshot of that. 3) Land savely and take off again, documenting this by more screenshots. Mission constraints: From the moment you receive this mission package, you have exactly 12 hours to report back the exact coordinates to our headquarters: habakuk@g-point.com (and log the flight in the logbook). Take off where you feel is appropriate, and land in Meiringen LSMM. A map showing the hot area is included. Download the package: and the counter starts... | | Specials & News HINT: .
